🍷 My Wine Review & Notes:

Fleur du Cap’s “Essence of the Cap” Cab was complicated. And that’s a good thing for me.

(Continually saying Cap’s Cab, the Cap Cab, Cab Cap, also got a little complicated after a couple glasses. The Capernet Cabernet?)

It was subtle, with interesting fruit tastes. I could taste it being a lot of things fully at once, yet flowing in between a lot of states. The volume wasn’t too thick or too thin. It was between medium and heavy, dry without being too dry.

I suppose that’s why they called it the essence of the Western Cape. I must say, it was very satisfying.

This being my second entry into South African reds (the first being the 2017 Meerlust Blend), going 2 for 2, it looks like I’m hooked.
