My Wine Review & Notes:
Wow, oh my gosh – a total hit.
The Meerlust Red Blend is one of the most complicated, interesting, and overall best wines I’ve ever had.
I went back to Gourmet Wine & Spirits after this and stocked up on more; when the guy checking me out asked if it was really that good, I told him no, just so he’d leave more for me to come back for later.
This is one of the first South African wines I’ve had while on my newfound wine journey paying attention to what I like, and I have to say, this really opened my eyes. Count me as a fan of Meerlust from now on.
I originally picked this up because a friend of mine is in South Africa at the moment, but I’ll be picking a lot more up now.
